Ellen joined the Benchmark team as one of our cherished paraplanners and has been the definition of a team player. She and her husband, Alan, have two adult children, John and Emily, and are now enjoying life as empty nesters. They love exploring new towns and trying local restaurants with friends—even if Ellen might be a picky eater! When she’s not cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Ellen enjoys staying active with group fitness classes, biking, and walking their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Penny. She’s a dedicated member of her church and loves connecting with others in her community.

After many years in accounting, Ellen shifted gears and joined the world of Wealth Management. Initially brought on as part of our admin team, she quickly pivoted to a paraplanner role when a need arose, showing her flexibility from day one. As Katrina Ridgeway’s paraplanner, she assists with client meetings, client care, follow-up, and day-to-day tasks for her crew. If anyone on the team needs backup, Ellen’s the one swooping in to save the day with her signature team-player mentality!
